The Pikey Peak trek is great if you are looking for an easy, beginner friendly trek in Nepal! The trail is not strenuous and it is also less visited, so it is not too busy with trekking groups.

The trail is beautiful, especially in the Spring when the rhododendrons are blooming. Once you get to Pikey Peak, you get panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and Makalu.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
  • Day 2: Travel from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar (2,932 m) by bus
  • Day 3: Trek from Dhap Bazaar (2,932 m) to Jhapre (2,920 m)
  • Day 4: Trek from Jhapre (2,920 m) to Pikey Base Camp (3,640 m)
  • Day 5: Trek from Pikey Base Camp (3,640 m) to Pikey Peak (4,065 m), then trek to Jasmane Bhanjyang (3,549 m)
  • Day 6: Trek from Jasmane Bhanjyang (3,549 m) to Junbesi (2,700 m)
  • Day 7: Rest day in Junbesi to visit the Thuptenchholing Monastery or go to a view point for Everest

Add-ons

  • Porter Service (USD 180): The package price does not include a porter to carry your luggage, but you can choose to add it. Yes, wifi is generally available on the Pikey Peak trek. You have to pay a small fee at the teahouse to access the wifi, usually around USD 2.
