Mardi Himal is a short, beginner friendly trek in the Annapurna Region. The best thing about Mardi is that you get amazing views of the Himalayas, but it is not as strenuous like other treks nearby such as Annapurna Base Camp.
The Mardi Himal trekking route goes through forests, so it can feel like you are on a forest walk. Plus, there are not that many stairs, so it is easy to complete. Once you get to the highest village on the trek (High Camp), you get epic views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain.
Mardi Himal is less visited, so you won’t find that many big trekking groups like on the Everest or Annapurna Base Camp trek. So, Mardi trek is ideal if you are looking for a less busy trekking trail!
This trek package includes 5 days of trekking, 2 days of travel, and 2 rest days in Kathmandu.

FAQs: Mardi Himal Trek Package
When is the best time to trek Mardi Himal?
The best time to trek Mardi Himal is in the Autumn (October-November), and the second best time is in the Spring (March-May). The weather can be slightly unpredictable in the Spring, but it is still a good time.
What is accommodation like on the Mardi Himal Trek?
The accommodation is in basic twin sharing rooms in teahouses. Teahouses are basic lodges in Nepal on the trekking routes. Most rooms are twin rooms, but there are a few single rooms available as well. There are no attached bathrooms in the majority of teahouses, and there are only shared toilets and showers.
Is there wifi on the Mardi Himal Trek?
Yes, wifi is generally good and available on the Mardi Himal Trek. The SIM card by Nepal Telecom also works pretty well. When I trekked Mardi, I met a trekker who even had network signal at High Camp at 3,600 m. So if you are deciding which SIM to get, go for Nepal Telecom. On the other hand, while wifi is available, it is best not to take it for granted as there can be times that wifi is down for 1-2 hours.
