I have been visiting Nepal since 2015, and ultimately moved here in 2023 – during this time, I got to visit Pokhara a couple of times, and have now made my top 5 best resorts in Pokhara.

Set in a peaceful environment, Dorje’s Resort & Spa is one of the top resorts in Pokhara. It is beautifully designed, surrounded by nature and overlooks Phewa Lake.
They have everything you need to relax and recharge: a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and they even hold sound healing sessions.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with a view overlooking Phewa Lake. My favourite room is the Dorje Suite that has a private outdoor patio, beautiful lake views, and comes with a bathtub and an outdoor shower.

It’s around 10 minutes’ drive from Lakeside, which is the main tourist center in Pokhara. So, it is a perfect getaway to enjoy the peace and quiet but still being close enough to Lakeside to explore Pokhara.
What I love about Dorje’s Resort & Spa is that they also empower local communities through employment and training. They serve organic vegetables, and have eco-friendly toiletries!
Some of the nearby attractions include the Annapurna Cable Car and Sarangkot, and there are also options to go hiking and paragliding.

It has comfortable, spacious rooms that are like private villas. The best room is the Luxury Chalet Villa that has gorgeous mountain views, split-level bedroom, private terrace & fireplace, and a jacuzzi.

Sarangkot is a popular place to visit to see the sunrise over the Himalayas, but if you stay at this hotel, then you can enjoy the views straight from your hotel room. (Plus, you don’t have to wake up at 4 am to see the sunrise – it is right at your doorstep!)

The Bar Peepal Resort is built with traditional Nepalese style, and is located in Lakeside near all the attractions in Pokhara. While the resort is in Lakeside, it is still in a quiet area, so you get a peaceful sleep without a lot of noise.
The rooms are comfortable, and you have access to a swimming pool, spa, yoga sessions, and a gym. The facilities are high-end, but I found it has one of the more affordable prices in comparison to the other resorts.

Want to stay right by the Phewa Lake in Pokhara? The Fishtail Lodge is a true escape into the nature as you have to take a short boat ride to get to the hotel.
The resort is surrounded by nature, and you can even see the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain on a clear day.

While generally the hotel is quiet and peaceful, sometimes they can have events with large groups – so I recommend to enquire if they are planning to hold any events on your selected dates to make sure it is not noisy.
