I have good news! I live in Nepal and April is one of the best times to visit Nepal.
The weather is warm but not too hot, the skies are clear to see the mountains and it is perfect time to go trekking.
Some of the best things to do in Nepal in April is to go trekking, hiking and go sightseeing in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bandipur and Tansen.
April is also an ideal time to visit Chitwan or Bardia National Park to spot wildlife in Nepal. The grass is still not too high to spot wildlife, and although the weather starts to get hot, it is bearable.

The spring season in Nepal is from March to May, thus by April, the weather is warm and sunny. It can get so warm, it feels almost like summer time in Europe.
Because Spring season is so warm in Nepal, you can pack your summer clothes if you are visiting Nepal in April.

Nepal has three geographic regions and the temperature varies depending on where you are in April in Nepal.
The Himalayan, mountainous region in the north of Nepal is the coldest place in April. The daytime is sunny but the evenings turn cold. If you go trekking in April, there is still a slight chance of snowfall above 3,000 metres.
Whereas, the average temperature in the hilly region of Nepal is between 12-31 °C (54-88 °F) in Nepal in April. The hilly region includes places such as Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bandipur.
The southern, Tarai region of Nepal is hot in April. Although the temperatures are high in April in the Tarai (e.g. Chitwan, Bardia, Lumbini, Janakpur), it is still considered as a good time to visit as it gets even hotter in May and June.

The off seasons are two times a year in Nepal: one is during winter (December-February) and the other during the monsoon (June-August).
During these times trekking can be more challenging due to monsoon rains or winter snow, thus less people come to Nepal.
As the weather during these times is less favourable for trekking, people opt to visit in the months that best for trekking (March-May, September-November).

April is warm and generally there is very little chance of snow at this time.
It sometimes still snows in altitudes above 3,000 metres or you might find some snow in some sections of the trail but it would be very little.

April has great weather and clear skies so it is an ideal time to go trekking, sightseeing and exploring places around Nepal.
April is still an ideal time to visit Chitwan or Bardia National Park to spot wildlife in Nepal. The grass is still not too high to spot wildlife, and although the weather starts to get hot, it is bearable.
1. Kathmandu in April

The average temperature is between 12-28 °C (54-82 °F) in Kathmandu in April. April is Spring season in Nepal but it can feel more like summer time.

The last proper snowfall in Kathmandu was in 1945. Since then, it has only snowed two times (2007 and 2019) but it was very light snow and didn’t last long.

Bandipur is a beautiful little town on the way between Kathmandu and Pokhara and is a popular stop to enjoy Himalayan views, go hiking or just chill at one of the cafes and restaurants.
Bandipur is famous for its well-preserved Newari architecture (wooden carved windows and red bricks).
It is so charming with its architecture and restaurants on the main street that it is often compared to being in Belgium or France.
The weather in April is great, with clear skies and great views of the mountains. It makes it one of the best times to visit Bandipur.

Generally, Chitwan can be visited anytime from mid-September to May and have a chance of spotting wildlide.
However, during the monsoon season (June-August), the grass grows very high due to the rain. So if you are visiting Chitwan straight after the monsoon season, it is more difficult to spot wildlife due to the grass.
If you really want to spot wildlife, it is best to go for 1-3 whole day safari inside the Chitwan National Park, as the deeper into the park you go, the more chance you have of spotting tigers.
