- 2 pieces red onions
- 300 gram tomatoes
- 2-3 pinches salt (to taste)
- 3 pinches fenugreek seeds
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
- 1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp tumeric powder
How to Make Aloo Sandheko


Step 1. Boil the potatoes. Firstly, peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces. After you chop the potatoes into small pieces, then, boil the potatoes. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes to boil the potatoes.
Step 2. Chop the onions and tomatoes into small pieces. While you are boiling the potatoes, you can chop the onions and tomatoes.
Step 3. Mix together the vegetables and spices. Get a big bowl and mix together the vegetables and spices: potatoes, onions, tomatoes, coriander, garlic and ginger paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, salt and chilli powder.
In this step, you will have to add almost all the ingredients expect for the mustard oil, fenugreek seeds and tumeric powder.
Step 4. In a pan heat the mustard oil in a pan and add the fenugreek seeds. Fry the fenugreek seeds until they turn brown.
Step 5. Add: turmeric powder into the pan once the fenugreek seeds turn brown. Stir for a few seconds and then pour the oil and seeds into the potato mix. Mix well together and the aloo sandheko is ready.

The best way to store Aloo Sandheko is in an airtight container up to 3 days in the fridge. It is a salad so it is best to eat fresh.
Can You Freeze Aloo Sandheko?
