Phedi is 14 km from Pokhara and you can get there by taking a local bus or taxi. The bus from Pokhara to Phedi takes around 40 minutes. The bus leaves once an hour from Hari Chowk in Pokhara and costs Rs. 60 (USD 0.50).

You can either hail a regular taxi or book one through one of the Nepali taxi apps (InDrive or Pathao). Only the InDrive and Pathao taxi apps work in Pokhara. They are just like Uber and they are quick and easy to book.

If you book a taxi through InDrive or Pathao, you will get the best taxi prices. Usually, if you just hail a taxi, you may get a more expensive price or you will have to negotiate the price a bit.

Once you get to Hari Chowk, you will find the buses there going to Phedi. There will be a few buses going to different places, so it is best if you ask the bus helpers to locate the bus going to Phedi.

It is popular to start the trek in Phedi, and trek through Dhampus to the Australian Camp. The trek from Phedi to Dhampus is 2.2 km and takes around 2.5 hours. Then, from Dhampus to the Australian Camp, it is 3.9 km and takes 1.5 hours trek.

The next day, you can trek down from the Australian Camp to Kande in about 1 hour. Once you get to the end of the trail in Kande, you will see the bus that goes back to Pokhara.
