Sunrise vs Sunset in Sarangkot?
Best for: Sunrise
Sarangkot is popular for both sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. However, the weather can get cloudy in the afternoon so the views might not be so great during sunset. In my experience, the sunrise in Sarangkot provides much better views than the sunset. A lot of people hike or take the cable car up to Sarangkot early morning to see the sunrise – but for this, you will have to wake up around 4 am.
If you have an extra day, the best thing to do is to stay the night in Sarangkot. Sarangkot is a peaceful and quiet place to stay. I think this is a great option, as you can take the cable car up in the afternoon, watch the sunset in Sarangkot and then be already in Sarangkot for the sunrise the next day.
